
Pilates is a whole-body exercise system that’s great for the ever-changing pregnant body. Pregnancy Pilates offers all the usual benefits of the method, including strengthening and lengthening muscles, and improving mobility and coordination. In a pregnancy Pilates class, however, all exercises are adapted to make it suitable for prenatal women. This means that pregnancy Pilates is a safe way to exercise throughout your pregnancy.
With a deep emphasis on your breath, Pilates balances strength, mobility, and flexibility to support your body’s structure. Its large repertoire of exercises creates plenty of options and modifications for every stage of pregnancy — regardless of whether you’re new to the method.
Pilates also concentrates on areas of the body that need to be strong for carrying a baby bump around and for labour, i.e. the pelvic floor.
In our classes our exercises are adapted to be as comfortable as possible for you, meanwhile also working on maximizing your range of movements.
